Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for managing cost accounting functions, analyzing manufacturing costs, and supporting financial planning and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cost analysis, inventory valuation, and financial reporting within a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the cost accounting system, including standard costing and cost allocations.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and production performance.
  • Prepare and review cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation reports.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory transactions and ensure accurate inventory accounting.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to cost accounting.
  • Conduct variance analysis for materials, labor, and overhead, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Collaborate with operations and production teams to improve cost efficiency and control.
  • Prepare cost reports and financial analyses for management review.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audits related to cost accounting and inventory.    

Qualification:   

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing accounting.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a global or multinational company.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
