About the Role
Busy rheumatology practice seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support revenue cycle operations and patient care. This role involves billing, AR management, infusion copay assistance programs, and medication inventory support.
 
Responsibilities
  • Post insurance and patient payments accurately
  • Manage and follow up on accounts receivable (AR)
  • Review and resolve claim denials and appeals
  • Administer copay assistance programs for infusion therapies
  • Respond to patient billing questions with professionalism and compassion
  • Process medical record requests (HIPAA compliant)
  • Assist with inventory management of specialty medications (tracking, reconciliation, ordering support)
  • Maintain accurate patient account records
  • Perform additional administrative duties as needed
 
Requirements
  • Medical billing experience required (rheumatology or specialty/infusion preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of EOBs, insurance processes, AR, and denials
  • EMR experience required; NextGen strongly preferred
  • Experience with biologics/copay assistance programs a plus
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
