Audio-Visual Tech - Banquets
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Audio-Visual Tech - Banquets. In this role, you will setup of all functions that require audio visual equipment. To ensure accurate tracking of equipment, protecting and caring for assets and serve as a consultant for sales regarding audio visual needs of future bookings.
As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll assist the Banquet Team to operate in a "for-profit" environment as well as ensure guest service is beyond expectations so that the Resort will meet and/or exceed budgeted expectations.
This is an hourly wage role
Key Responsibilities
  • Set-up and teardown of audio-visual equipment for assigned functions and events
  • Provide audio visual/technical consultation to sales managers and meeting planners/customers regarding advice for future bookings and audio-visual needs when requested.
  • Solve, rectify and mediate all guest complaints and maintain guest complaint reports
  • Maintain the highest quality of service related to all banquet and meetings service
  • Assist with completion of all forms within the department (guest complaints, lost business, weekly recaps, contracts, proposals, banquet checks, etc.)

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in hotel management and/or Information Technology is helpful. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • General knowledge of the practices and procedures of a convention center, hotel conference services and/or banquet department
  • A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
  • Also able to operate in-house equipment such as telephone systems, internet, Muzak system, sound, lighting and computer equipment.
