The Role
Reporting directly to the Associate CFO, the Controller serves as a key financial leader responsible for General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cash Management, and Capital Asset Management. The position plays a critical role in financial reporting, strategic planning, operational improvement, staff development, and organizational decision-making.
This role extends well beyond technical accounting. We are seeking a leader who can develop people, drive projects, improve processes, build relationships across the organization, and communicate effectively with executives, physicians, board members, auditors, bankers, and other external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Public or Health Service Administration or Finance.
  • Seven to Ten years' experience in a hospital, including at least five years supervision above the first supervisory level.
  • Ability to develop financial management strategies that meet hospital and corporate objectives.
  • Knowledge of hospital generally accepted accounting principles, consolidated accounting concepts, implementation of accounting and reporting systems, critical analysis of data and measurement of financial performance.
  • Maintain awareness of trends in accounting/financial presentation and governmental third party payor reimbursement policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with vendors and the hospital staff.
  • Ability to effectively present information to executive management and board of directors.
  • Experience in organizing and leading teams.
  • Knowledge of standard problem solving and management information systems.

  • MBA.
