Project Scheduler Senior

Duration: 12-month Contract

Hybrid – 3x Per Week Onsite

Responsibilities:

· Increase proficiency in schedule development and schedule analysis and integrated cost and schedule forecasting using quantitative risk management tools and techniques (Expected Monetary Value and Sensitivity Analysis) to better predict project schedule and cost performance and enable timely corrective, preventive, and predictive action.

• Develop qualitative and risk-managed integrated project baselines that are used to effectively measure project performance and provide the ability to take corrective / preventive / predictive action. Apply the cost of quality to schedule management (development and monitoring and control).

• Applies integrated objective risk management to the project baselines to optimize project risk responses.

• Orchestrates contract commercial management, conducts contract performance assessment and reporting and initial contract performance analysis and contract schedule assessment, analysis, and change management forecasting. Performs contract reviews relative to contract scope and schedule performance; makes recommendations to the project management team and project manager as well as the Manager of Project Scheduling - Project Controls.

• Applies core project controls expertise.

• Review and coordinate the management and utilization of project management guidelines, project management standards, processes, job aids, and tools.

• Integrates all project management subsidiary systems to improve project performance.

• Directs schedule effort.

• Tailors schedule management processes.

• Tailors / creates schedule management tools / techniques to advance schedule performance.

• Provides continuous life cycle planning and scheduling processes with progressive risk management forecasting with increased predictability, accuracy and precision.

• Manages the project schedule performance baseline (as well as the integrated project baselines).

• Forecasts schedule performance and schedule variance (SV) and identifies opportunities to avoid negative schedule variances.

• Drives / directs schedule assessment and analysis processes, methods, tools and techniques and integrates quality and risk response planning to determine project preventive actions / predictive actions and incorporates path optimum forward activities, logic, resource requirements, work around, contingency plans, etc. into the project schedule to progressively increase schedule accuracy, flexibility, and precision.

• Works to implement schedule predictive (opportunity) actions.

• Perform standard and advanced project and special project schedule reporting as anticipated for the project stakeholders; compiles and produces schedule reports as needed.

• Drives a project integration mindset; integration of people, processes, tools, and techniques to advance the probability of project success.

• Optimize product life cycle costing competence.

• Becomes a project subject matter expert to the project management team, Major Project managers, Director, and other relevant stakeholders for proposed corrective, preventive, and predictive actions.

• Applies integrated thinking to schedule management that facilitates improved objective performance.

• Utilize communication competence to drive effective project schedule decision making.

• The Senior Project Scheduler will manage in accordance with Industry standards, the company Project Management Guidelines and Standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements

· The individual would have to be familiar with use of P6 scheduling software.

· Integrated knowledge base in project scope-schedule-cost, and risk-quality management.

· Integrated comprehension and application of project management subsidiary guidelines, standards, processes, and job aids.

· Integrated proficiency in risk and quality management tools and techniques.

· Leads (situational leadership), inspires, motivates project stakeholders in concert with effective stakeholder management using cognitive ability, personal effectiveness, innovation, value based decision-making, integrated communication (soft and hard skills); conflict resolution, team work, team building

· Enhanced comprehension of project planning and scheduling guidelines, standards, processes, and job aids.

· High degree of proficiency in scheduling software (P6) and spreadsheet development, utilization, and controlled manipulation.

· Coordinates, applies cognitive ability, personal effectiveness, innovation, initial decision-making, communication soft skills; listening, articulating, writing, messaging, proactive stakeholder management.

• This job will be on site at RMSGS (R.M. Schahfer Generating Station).

• Working remotely would be approved on a as needed based off of operational needs.

• They would need to be able to travel to the other plants as needed for meetings and other scheduling needs.

•Valid Driver's License is required.

Preferred for Selection:

· Advanced ability to plan and schedule; develop, assess, analyze, progress; generate schedule levels of hierarchy; schedule database proficiency

· Required for Selection:

· High School diploma and four years of experience working as a scheduler OR

· High School diploma and six years of construction / engineering experience with two of those years working as a project scheduler OR

· Bachelor’s Degree and four years’ experience working as a project scheduler.

· Bachelor’s Degree and four years’ experience as a project scheduler. Ability to read and interpret schedules, schedule software proficiency; database development proficiency.

· Experience in large industrial Capital Project environments.

The base pay range for this role is $50 - $70 per hour.
