HR Onboarding Coordinator

Remote Across Canada

Full-time (40 hours/week)

Compensation – Starting at $20/hr CAD

Job Summary:

The Onboarding Coordinator will be part of the Global HR & Operations team of the organization, serving employees and contractors across 4 continents. This role will support the day-to-day remote onboarding and offboarding of consultants across the entire company. This includes background check processing, HRIS onboarding, preparing onboarding documentation and contracts, tracking progress, and assisting candidates with their questions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR processes, experience with onboarding responsibilities and background check processing, exceptional communication skills, and a great attention to detail.

This position is 100% remote from anywhere in Canada. The company operates in Eastern Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily onboarding & offboarding tasks for candidates in over 35 countries, including driving the background check & compliance processes.
  • Work closely with the Onboarding Specialist as well as the service delivery team during the onboarding process to ensure on-time onboarding.
  • Track onboarding and offboarding timelines closely, ensuring clear and accurate communication between the candidates, company, and clients.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Required Experience: at least 1-2 years of experience in an HR role which included onboarding responsibilities.

Skills:

  • Required: Experience with a large volume of onboarding and offboarding, ideally within a staffing & consulting environment. Bonus if you have worked in American and international markets.
  • Required: Experience processing background checks. Bonus if you have experience with running these processes in other countries as well.
  • Required: Solid knowledge of HR best practices and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • High level of Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Candidates who speak a second language (Spanish, French or Portuguese) will be given strong preference.
