POSITION TITLE: Operations Manager
FLSA: Exempt.
Hire Pay: $55,000 annually.
Classification: Full-time.

JOB SUMMARY:
Manage a janitorial crew in a cost-effective manner by establishing and applying sound management policies about the organization, customer relations, planning, cost control, and workflow. Responsible for recruitment, training, management, and supervision of all personnel assigned at the contract site. Responsible for ensuring that work is performed to the specifications of the contract. Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies. Maintains reports and records as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Overall management of janitorial contract functions.
  • Manage the project in a cost-efficient and effective manner.
  • Supervise and train assigned individuals in all phases of contract operations.
  • Schedule all personnel and work to ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Ensure the contract maintains quality standards.
  • Responsible for equipment and supplies (proper usage, maintenance, storage, replacement).
  • Maintain and generate necessary records required by the contract and those required by the company.
  • Represent the company in meetings with Contract personnel.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Responsible for performing safety drills and maintaining the work site within OSHA standards.
  • Supervises all assigned personnel.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the company’s policies and procedures and applicable laws.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70lbs.
  • Must be able to travel out of town.
  • Ability to operate manual and mechanized equipment.
  • Must perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
  • Receives supervision from the Operations Manager.
  • Position has formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.
  • Must complete jobs without constant supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment. 

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
  • This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes: Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2+ years prior supervisory experience in janitorial-related positions.
  • Able to obtain and maintain federal security clearance as required by contract.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
