Job description

We're Jiffy! We launched over a decade ago with a simple mission: use technology to combine an unparalleled level of customer service with the fastest delivery in the blank apparel, direct-to-film transfer, and custom apparel industry. We're more than a T-Shirt company; we're a support system for the creator economy, the home hobbyist, the small business owner, and more. Today, we help millions of small businesses and customers build their vision from scratch! We are bootstrapped and profitable - no VC playbook, no burn-rate math - which means every market we open has to earn its way to expansion on real operating results.
As our Contract Operations Manager, you'll stand up a new market and then run it day to day. This is a build-it-and-operate-it seat: you'll work hand in hand with our fulfillment location to set up the physical operation, take in the first inventory, hold the operating standard on the floor, and produce the data that decides whether we expand. You'll own receiving, inventory accuracy, daily exceptions, and service-level performance - and you'll do it with spreadsheets and forms, not a polished WMS, because the process doesn't exist yet. You're the one who builds it.
This is a genuinely hands-on role. You'll run a project plan in the morning and count cases on the floor in the afternoon. We're not looking for someone who has only managed people who did this work - we need someone who has personally set up receiving, run cycle counts, and chased a variance to root cause. If the pilot succeeds, this role leads the expansion and the contract extends with it.
You'll report to our VP of Operations. This is a 3-month contract engagement with the potential to extend. If the pilot succeeds, this role leads the expansion and the engagement extends with it.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
  • 3-5 years in operations, supply chain, or project management a generalist who can run a project plan in the morning and support inventory management in the afternoon.
  • Hands-on warehouse experience is required: you have personally set up receiving, run cycle counts, or run pick/pack operations not just managed people who did.
  • Demonstrated ability to build process from scratch. You are comfortable operating scrappy, with spreadsheets and forms rather than a polished WMS.
  • Strong inventory accuracy fundamentals physical counts, reconciliation, variance root-cause analysis, and disciplined same-day data entry.
  • Clear, concise communicator. Your counts and readouts feed executive decisions, so they need to be right and they need to be legible.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets) you can build a tracker, a reconciliation, and a KPI readout without waiting on anyone.
  • Dallas-based with reliable transportation. The operation runs 7 days per week and flexibility is a requirement, including weekend and off-hours coverage during launch if needed.
  • Able to perform the physical demands of the role, including moving through a warehouse environment and handling cases during receiving and counts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience opening or standing up a new site, market, or fulfillment operation.
  • Apparel, e-commerce, 3PL, or high-SKU distribution experience.
  • Experience working alongside a 3PL or external fulfillment partner as the customer-side operator.
  • Familiarity with WMS or inventory systems, and a track record of transitioning a manual process onto one.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Benefits
Compensation
The hourly rate for this contract role is expected to range from $45 to $55 per hour. Actual rate will be based on a variety of factors, including hands-on launch experience, inventory management depth, skills, and overall fit for the role.
