What we are hiring for:

We have a full-time role as a Warehouse Operations Manager – LTL at MountainMovers Transportation & Logistics in Flower Mound, TX for the 2nd shift (1:30pm - 10:00pm-or when finished).

The Warehouse Operations Manager will work with current warehouse management to be responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse, including but not limited to:

· Supervising and directing the loading/ unloading of trucks

· Supervising, training, and managing the work of employees

· Communicating with carriers and solving problems on-the-spot as needed

· Following proper paperwork procedures

· Implementing and maintaining safety procedures on the dock

· Scheduling maintenance for company facilities and dock equipment

Other responsibilities include:

· Managing dock activities and personnel

· Ensuring verification of all trucks before they leave the dock

· Ensuring driver check-in process is correct, verifying identify/ equipment information

· Ensuring the handling of freight leaves product undamaged and intact

· Communicating with the LTL and Ops teams on issues such as space, timing, damages

· Scheduling staff

· Strong knowledge of warehouse safety rules and practices; ability to enforce a safe working environment

· Purchasing equipment and supplies

These are the minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

  • 2 years LTL cross-dock management experience
  • Expert at maximizing space on trucks
  • Forklift expertise; current ability to drive sit-down forklift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience within the transportation and logistics industry
  • Experience managing minimum of 5 employees
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Work with attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
  • A "whatever it takes" attitude to complete the job for all of our customers. We work as a team and want someone who will “jump in” in to ensure the company meets all deadlines for the day
