Role:

Reporting to the Director of Deposit Operations & Card Services, the Card Operations Specialist serves as a primary resource for credit and debit card operations, member support, and payment processing functions. Responsibilities include card maintenance, account servicing, deposit exception processing, reconciliations, collections updates, report review, Visa payment processing, corporate credit card administration, and the resolution of card-related and deposit-related operational issues while delivering exceptional member service and maintaining compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures.

What you will be doing:

  • Review and resolve card and deposit exceptions, including mobile deposits, ATM deposits, discrepancies, adjustments, and returned items.

  • Support card transaction processing, including Visa payments, travel notifications, and other card-related operational activities.

  • Research, investigate, and resolve member account issues, fraud disputes, transaction inquiries, and servicing requests in a timely manner.

  • Monitor delinquent credit card accounts by processing collection updates, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely follow-up actions.

  • Perform account reconciliations and operational reporting, including general ledger reconciliations, Visa invoice reconciliation, and daily department reports.

  • Assist members, employees, and vendors with card-related inquiries while delivering exceptional customer service and meeting established service standards.

  • Support fraud prevention and risk management efforts, including fraud charge-offs, investigations, and adherence to applicable regulations and network rules.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and improve the overall member experience.

  • Manage daily credit and debit card operations, including card maintenance, status changes, account servicing, and credit limit adjustments.

  • Process and maintain corporate credit card accounts, including account setup, modifications, closures, and payment applications.

What you'll bring along:

โ€ขHigh School diploma or equivalent

โ€ขOne year of similar or related experience, preferably in a credit union movement.

โ€ขProficient with standard office equipment, MS software programs; familiarity with standard report programs.
