Inside Sales Representative – Instrumentation & Automation
Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Reports to: Inside Sales Manager | Minneapolis, MN

Quarterly bonuses - $2,000

Our client is seeking a driven Inside Sales Representative to support their growing Instrumentation and Automation division. In this role, you’ll combine technical knowledge with relationship-building skills to support customers and partner closely with outside sales teams to deliver results.

What You’ll Do

Customer Service & Sales Support

  • Process customer orders via phone, email, and fax
  • Provide pricing, order status updates, and product information
  • Recommend technical specifications and solutions to meet customer needs
  • Support outside sales representatives with timely, accurate information
  • Build strong vendor relationships to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist with light shipping/receiving or counter support where applicable

Problem Resolution

  • Act as a key liaison in resolving order and product issues
  • Identify customer concerns and provide effective solutions
  • Follow escalation procedures when necessary to ensure quick resolution

Administrative & Transactional Excellence

  • Enter and manage orders, quotes, returns, and credits
  • Research product availability and coordinate replenishment
  • Maintain accurate, organized records of all customer interactions

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or fluid power products
  • Extensive phone-based customer service experience
  • Background in inside sales, purchasing, sourcing, or replenishment preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
  • High School Diploma or GED required (additional education is a plus)
