We're looking for a creative and data-driven SEO & Content Strategist to lead our organic search marketing initiatives while providing oversight across our broader digital marketing ecosystem. You will take ownership of SEO / Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and content strategy as your primary focus while also helping to coordinate paid media efforts with our agency partners to support integrated marketing campaigns.

As part of our marketing team, you'll play a key role in shaping content strategies that align with pet parents, veterinary professionals, search behavior, and industry trends. You will collaborate across teams to ensure MedVet shows up online where it matters mostโ€”both in organic and paid channels.

SEO/AEO & Content Strategy (Primary Focus)

  • Develop and implement a content-led SEO/AEO strategy for MedVet to enhance online visibility, demonstrate veterinary expertise, and drive highly relevant traffic.
  • Monitor and optimize the local search presence across our network of hospitals.
  • Conduct deep keyword research and search intent analysis, using tools like Ahrefs and Google Search Console, to inform content decisions.

  • Analyze organic performance, identify key trends, report on impact, and spot opportunities to enhance content efforts.
  • Stay ahead of LLM-powered search evolution, ensuring content adapts to all platforms where people now search.

Broader Digital Marketing

  • Partner with our external agency to align SEO/AEO and paid search strategies, ensuring cohesive keyword targeting and messaging across channels.
  • Support the development of integrated digital marketing campaigns that span organic, paid, and social channels.
  • Contribute to marketing measurement and attribution efforts, helping connect digital touchpoints to business outcomes.
  • Identify emerging trends and timely opportunities using search and market insights to inform broader marketing strategies.
  • Provide input on website optimization, landing page development, and user experience improvements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience with a strong focus on SEO and content strategy, backed up by case studies you can speak to.
  • Expertise with tools like Ahrefs/SEMRush, Google Search Console, GA4, and other content optimization platforms.
  • Familiarity with paid media fundamentals (Google Ads, Meta Ads) and experience coordinating with agencies or internal teams on paid campaigns.
  • Experience with WordPress, including working with theme builders such as Divi for minor design or content updates as needed.
  • Strong data-driven approach, with experience using digital marketing analytics to craft strategies and measure impact over time.
  • Experience developing topic-focused content in collaboration with copywriters and website teams that strive to act as part of a funnel.
  • Ability to analyze keyword trends, forecast performance, and report on core organic marketing metrics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skillsโ€”comfortable presenting and explaining marketing insights and recommendations across teams.
