Job description

Job Title: Project AdministratorJob Description

This contract Project Administrator role provides administrative support to electrical construction site operations by managing onboarding and clerical tasks in a busy trailer office environment. Over an 8-week assignment on a high-profile project, you help ensure that tradespeople are onboarded efficiently, records are maintained accurately, and office processes run smoothly. This position is suitable for an experienced administrative professional and may also be a strong opportunity for a college student or intern seeking exposure to construction operations and project management.

Responsibilities
  • Assist employees and tradespeople with orientation and gather all required information for onboarding and payroll.
  • Use internal onboarding software to process new hires and maintain accurate, up-to-date basic spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers and payroll staff to ensure timely and accurate onboarding and payroll processing.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tradesmen during the onboarding process, answering questions and guiding them through required steps.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Support general office functions within the construction trailer, including clerical tasks, document handling, and basic administrative duties.
  • Perform data entry and maintain Microsoft Office and Excel-based logs and tracking documents as needed.
  • Prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines and support smooth construction site operations.
  • Collaborate with onsite team members, including project managers and payroll staff, to resolve issues and improve administrative processes.

Approximately eight people work onsite, creating a collaborative environment with project managers and payroll staff. You use internal onboarding software, Microsoft Office, and Excel as core tools in your daily work. The setting combines a professional office atmosphere with proximity to active construction operations, offering insight into field activities while maintaining a structured administrative workspace.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
