Job description

Title: Construction Coordinator
Location: Various Project Locations from Ely, NV to Twin Falls, ID
Wilson Construction Company (Wilson) has an immediate opening for a self-motivated Construction Coordinator with a positive, team-oriented outlook. This position will provide project management support on utility transmission line construction projects as well as assist in developing, planning, and coordinating the technical work for electric utility construction projects.
This is an entry level field position. The majority of work hours will be spent at a project field office. This position will require travelling to and staying at various project sites throughout the Western United States. Project durations will vary from a few weeks to multiple years. This position shall work under the direction of the On-site Project Manager or Project Superintendent.
Responsibilities include:
โ€ข Assisting Project Managers and Schedulers with various administrative tasks;
โ€ข Entering daily project status data;
โ€ข Preparing three- and five-day look-aheads;
โ€ข Preparing Requests for Information (RFIs), transmittals/submittals;
โ€ข Scheduling materials and tracking deliveries;
โ€ข Assisting with the approval of material invoices;
โ€ข Tracking and reporting equipment and vehicles in the right-of-way daily;
โ€ข Maintaining various spreadsheets;
โ€ข Performing overall project support for all departments; and
โ€ข Delivering paperwork and performing other errands.
Requirements include:
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience;
โ€ข Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
โ€ข Experience in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 is a plus;
โ€ข Strong attention to detail;
โ€ข Strong organizational skills to include:
o Coordinating, tracking, and meeting deadlines;
o Following up;
o Handling multiple tasks in a fluctuating workload; and
o Multi-tasking efficiently.
โ€ข Analytical skills;
โ€ข Self-motivated attitude;
โ€ข Ability to work independently while still contributing to the team;
โ€ข Willingness to help where needed for the benefit of the team;
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
โ€ข Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of staff and personality types; and
โ€ข Must maintain a valid driver license.
