Job description

Younger Brothers is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Construction Payroll Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll in a construction environment, be bilingual in English and Spanish, and possess a strong working knowledge of Sage 300 software.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while providing exceptional support to our employees and field personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Review and verify employee timecards, hours worked, job costing, and payroll data.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
  • Process wage garnishments, deductions, direct deposits, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and payroll setup.
  • Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports and assist with audits as needed.
  • Work closely with Human Resources, Accounting, and field management teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience; construction industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Sage 300 software required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with construction job costing and payroll practices.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced construction environment.
