Construction Management Co-op

Creature is reimagining the way design, manufacturing, and construction come together. Our vertically integrated platform delivers healthcare, commercial, and complex capital projects faster-and smarter-by aligning every phase of the build process under one roof.
We're looking for a Construction Management Co-op to join our Birmingham team for a 3-semester rotation. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience across live projects, work alongside seasoned Project Managers and Superintendents, and learn how innovative construction really happens-from the field to fabrication. This co-op will consist of 3 semesters all focused on different aspects of construction. The rotations will include one semester in the office, one semester in the field, and one semester in a hybrid role supporting our Industrialized Engineers.
What You'll Do

  • Support Project Delivery: Work with Project Managers (PMs) and Assistant PMs on day-to-day operations across active jobs.
  • Own the Details: Help prepare and track Purchase Orders (POs), RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Stay Close to the Field: Collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to monitor progress and resolve real-world challenges.
  • Drive Project Clarity: Maintain schedules, meeting minutes, and action logs to keep teams aligned.
  • Champion Safety & Quality: Assist in implementing jobsite safety protocols and compliance standards.

What You Bring

  • Pursuing a degree inBuilding Science, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Procore or construction software is a plus
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn by doing
