Job Title: Attendant Conference Events & Special Projects

Job Pay Range: $17.00-$19.00 per hour.

*$17.00- 19.00 per hour based on $16.32 per hour base wage + service charge paid per shift; historically, this position averages service commission earnings of $2.00-$4.00 per hour. Service charges are commissions and will fluctuate based on events and time of year.

As a member of the Conference Service team, you will contribute to the overall success of The Broadmoor by ensuring Event Complex Meeting and Pre-Function Spaces and other formal meeting venues are properly cleaned and maintained prior to and after event

What you will be doing:

  • Maintains cleanliness and maintenance of all Complex meeting spaces, heart of house service areas and loading docks to include Broadmoor Hall, Colorado Hall, International Center and Bartolin Hall. This includes but is not limited to carpet care, chandelier cleaning, and the general cleanliness of furniture and fixtures, walls, baseboards and airwalls
  • Maintains cleanliness and maintenance of Cheyenne Lodge, Mountain Club House, and Fish House. This includes but is not limited to carpet care, chandelier cleaning, and the general cleanliness of furniture and fixtures, walls, baseboards and airwalls
  • Maintains cleanliness and maintenance of Meeting / Ballrooms / Pre-Function spaces in Main, Original West, West Tower, and South Tower including Penrose Restaurant and Golf meeting rooms. This includes but is not limited to carpet care, chandelier cleaning, and the general cleanliness of furniture and fixtures, walls, baseboards and airwalls
  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of heart of house convention services areas property-wide
  • Responsible for Convention Services floor care equipment to include upkeep, maintenance, repairs, and recommended purchase
  • Maintain cleanliness of exterior awnings, walkways, ceilings / overhangs, floors, and windows within scope of responsibility comprised of Complex, adjacent Meeting Room Patios. Fish House, Cheyenne Mountain Lodge and Mountain Club House
  • Supports process of maintaining exterior furniture including proper placement when associated outdoor space is being utilized for a function, and with the seasonal removal / storage
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

  • High school or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training. Prior Housekeeping supervisory and hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Valid Driver’s License required as you will be transporting materials, linens and other supplies across the resort.
    • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
