BallenIsles Country Club, located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Concierge/Receptionist! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fastpaced hospitality-focused property organization. BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is seeking Full Time Concierge/Receptionists to join our team! Qualified candidates must have demonstrated success in a similar service environment and dedication to quality, productivity, and attentive service to private club members and guests.
General Purpose:
Primary responsibility is accountability of member and guest experience and assuring a culture of hospitality and teamwork. Ambassador will provide assistance to members and serve as an information source for directions, activities, events, dining options, hours of operation, and more. Ambassador will serve as technical support to F&B Department as needed.

Compensation: $18.00- $20.00 per hour (Depending on Experience) 

Essential Duties:

  • Greets members by name with a smile and warm welcome. Extends a gracious goodbye and thank you as members/guests are leaving the Club.
  • Answers telephone calls from members and guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Directs member calls to appropriate individual/department following our telephone etiquette protocol.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of the Club’s activities calendar and communicates concise and accurate information to members.
  • Serves as an information liaison between members/guests and Club departments.
  • Makes member reservations for dining and club activities by entering accurate information in JONAS (JAM) or current member database, while anticipating members' needs/wants through additional questions aimed to enhance the member experience.
  • Creates Member and Guest Cards in accordance with current policies.
  • Takes ownership of special requests and immediate needs of members and organizes communication of these to appropriate departments. Follows up with members as needed.
  • Maintains a high level of service.
  • Communicates with additional concierge staff, relaying necessary information regarding daily operations of the club and ensures they understand how to properly communicate this information to members.
  • Accepts member complaints and works with F&B Director to provide solutions to achieve member satisfaction in a professional and timely manner.
  • Works closely with the other Club departments, directors, and managers to ensure that the member and guest expectations are exceeded
  • Inspects and oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of all department areas. Coordinates with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure cleanliness and appearance are at the highest level.
  • Promotes a positive team atmosphere with all management and staff.
  • Creation of Digital signage and Directional signage as needed.
  • Carries out bylaws and policies as set by the Board of Directors.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by F&B Director.
  • Has knowledge of Support contacts for database and reservation systems.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently sits, talks and hears. Occasionally stands and walks. Regularly uses hands, reaches with arms and hands. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds

  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, and the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).

  • Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, holidays, and weekends
