Job Description Summary:

We seek a software support specialist to join our dynamic team and provide comprehensive support to Aviagen's in-house and cloud applications. As a software support specialist, you will troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize applications to ensure seamless business operations. You will work closely with end-users, Global IT team, and business stakeholders to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and deliver training as needed. This position is located on-site at our global corporate headquarters in Huntsville, Alabama
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier-1 and Tier-2 support to existing applications, escalating to Tier-3 support when needed, and performing general maintenance of the applications.
  • Document and track user issues, ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with role-based access control (RBAC) and effectively managing user roles, user accounts, and permissions.
  • To safeguard data, conduct regular audits to maintain security and ensure compliance.
  • Adhere to IT department policies and procedures when performing tasks to ensure controls are in place and processes are being followed.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, key users, and the implementation partner for SaaS release management.
  • Support system integrations across applications, ensuring data consistency, security, and performance.
  • Analyzes and documents existing workflows, business processes, systems and data flows to understand their impact on the Company and to identify areas of improvement and/or process alignments.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement system enhancements and process alignments.
  • Participate in agile software development communication with developers and project management.
  • Software testing of new or modified software applications developed in-house.
  • Provides training on functionalities, best practices, and knowledge transfer to enable users to be self-sufficient.
  • Document support processes and maintain knowledge base articles.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting ERP Systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Experience with SQL/database management and system design is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global IT team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Knowledge in MTech is a plus
  • Poultry Industry knowledge is a plus.
