Job description

Job Summary:
Mytra is focused on revolutionizing the supply chain industry through robotics and distributed software solutions. The PDM & CAD Manager will own and maintain the product data management infrastructure and CAD environment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the hardware development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Manage user access, permissions, and general Onshape platform administration
โ€ข Own and maintain process documents and OTS workflows
โ€ข Administer part numbering systems and processes
โ€ข Prepare and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and release administration
โ€ข Maintain material and items library
โ€ข Develop and deliver CAD/PDM process training across the engineering org
โ€ข Maintain master models with variations representing sub-component releases
โ€ข Keep master models current with engineering updates, including POR designs and ECR/ECO candidate variants
โ€ข Manage COTS parts library and actively prevent duplication
โ€ข Own CAD/PDM best practices across the organization
โ€ข Update and enforce drawing standards
โ€ข Structure and populate MBOMs in Onshape in close collaboration with manufacturing engineering
โ€ข Pre-release COTS parts to prevent ECO blockages
โ€ข Assign part properties; manage ECO prep and review
โ€ข Conduct clash checks, fastener presence validation, and related quality checks
โ€ข Perform BOM checking, drawing checking, and revision control
โ€ข Import and link electrical board designs to Arena releases
โ€ข Provide Altium administrative support
โ€ข Prepare engineering drawings and perform tolerance analysis
โ€ข Conduct drawing quality checks, including AI-assisted review scripts
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field โ€” or equivalent hands-on experience
โ€ข 2+ years of experience as a PDM/CAD Administrator or in a similar role within a hardware engineering environment
โ€ข Proficiency in Onshape; experience with Arena PLM is a strong plus
โ€ข Experience with Solidworks & Catia is an asset
โ€ข Demonstrated experience with ECO/ECR processes and revision control workflows
โ€ข Strong understanding of BOM structures, including EBOM and MBOM management
โ€ข Solid grasp of engineering drawing standards, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
โ€ข Exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to data quality and process ownership
โ€ข Clear communicator who can train and guide engineers on PDM/CAD workflows
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with Altium or similar electrical design management platforms
โ€ข Familiarity with AI-assisted CAD or drawing review workflows
โ€ข Background working in a fast-paced robotics, automation, or mechatronics company
โ€ข Experience developing and delivering internal CAD/PDM training programs
