University Connected Learning (UCL) is seeking a Computer Technician to configure, deploy, and maintain computers, AV, and communications technologies used in staff, classroom, and student lab environments. Included technologies are personal computers, mobile devices, data projectors, video and audio devices, Windows and Mac operating systems and software. Responsibilities include end user support, hardware service, installations of OS and applications, workspace preparation, and asset management.
Responsibilities
  • Provide first level of computer and classroom technology support.
  • Setup and deployment of computers.
  • Maintaining asset management data.
  • Equipment receiving, retiring, and other inventory processes.
  • Equipment maintenance and arranging vendor service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required
Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking.
Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking, bending, reaching overhead.
Minimum Qualifications
An associate's degree in a computer related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted with two years of related work experience), and two years of applicable experience are required. Effective communications and computer skills are required. 
Preferences
Familiarity with system imaging and software deployment tools is favorable. Some cross platform experience with both Windows and Mac is favorable.
