Job description

HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Sales Team as a District Sales Manager - CAD. 

Summary

The District Sales Manager organizes and completes customer site visits. Sells against a set sales plan. Prepares sale quotations.  Obtains sales orders and devises best way for filling order (i.e. plant or service center). Coordinates turnkey jobs to best fit customer needs.  Directly manages the efforts of one to four (1 -4) sales representatives to achieve sales plans. This includes conducting performance reviews, goal setting, coaching, and mentoring so they can achieve the goals of the company.


Responsibilities

  • Managing sales representatives (Goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, etc.)
  • Visiting customer sites.
  • Following up on activities with customers and sales representatives.
  • Providing technical assistance.
  • Preparing sales quotations.
  • Obtaining acceptable promise dates.

    Requirements

    • Requires 5-10 years experience in sales, application engineering, product management, or marketing
    • Requires B.S. Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing or related field.
    • Requires extensive knowledge refractory application, customer applications and refractory manufacturing processes.
    • Requires computer operation skills in MS Office and QAD.

    Physical and Environmental Requirements
    • Physical Activity: Requires more than 2/3 of time talking or hearing; 1/3 to 2/3 of time standing and walking; less than 1/3 of time sitting, using hands/fingers to handle and/or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
