Job Description
IT Technician
Full-Time (12-month), Non-Exempt, Category 4
Salary Range: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Reports to: Director of Information Technology
The IT Technician provides general hardware, software, and network support. Working in a large, fast-paced, dynamic environment, this person joins a team of IT professionals to ensure the proper functioning of technical operations and provides exceptional service and customer support to all constituents.
Essential Functions
Serves as an integrated member of IT Department
Provides front-line technical support to employees
Supports PC and Apple/Mac hardware and software
Supports desktops, laptops, tablets, and other devices
Supports Microsoft 365 and the Google Suite
Supports wireless networks
Supports audio/visual systems and projection devices
Performs basic user account tasks including onboarding and offboarding procedures, password resets, and access control
Collaborates with service providers to coordinate repairs, warranty claims, and equipment replacements
Maintains accurate inventory of assets
Assists with technical documentation
Stays current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
Employer reserves the right to change or modify duties at any time
May be required to be on-call

Qualifications & Skills
Preferred BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or similar qualifications are a plus
Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role, providing assistance to end-users in a professional environment
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and other network protocols
Understanding of Windows and Mac Operating Systems
Possess superior communication skills (written and verbal)
Demonstrates complex problem-solving skills
Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Maintains a positive, energetic, and friendly disposition
Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and an attitude of service
Ability to lift/carry 45lbs
