Reports To: Director of Information Technology
Position Summary
The IT Technician provides frontline technical support and exceptional customer service to faculty, staff, and students. Working in a large, fast-paced educational environment, this role is responsible for supporting hardware, software, network services, classroom technology, and end-user devices. The IT Technician collaborates with other IT team members to ensure reliable, secure, and effective technology operations that support the mission and daily activities of Oaks Christian School.
Essential Functions
User Support
  • Serve as an active and collaborative member of the Information Technology Department.
  • Provide timely and professional technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and application issues.
  • Support Windows and macOS operating systems and related software applications.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and other technology devices.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other enterprise applications.

Classroom & Technology Services
  • Support classroom technology, audio/visual equipment, projectors, displays, and collaboration tools.
  • Assist with setup and support of special events, presentations, and technology-enabled activities.
  • Support wireless and wired network connectivity for end users and devices.

Account & Asset Management
  • Perform user account administration, including onboarding, offboarding, password resets, and access requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of technology assets, inventory, and equipment assignments.
  • Assist in device lifecycle management, including deployment, replacement, and disposal processes.

Coordinate with vendors and service providers regarding repairs, warranty claims, and equipment replacements.
