Position: Community Relations Coordinator

Salary: $22.88 per hour

Job Type: Full Time

Job Description: Join a growing Community Relations Department in supporting the promotion of the agency’s mission, brand, and community presence through outreach, communications, and engagement efforts. This role builds relationships with key audiences while enhancing public awareness, advocacy, and community support. The Coordinator also markets employment opportunities and services to families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Responsibilities: Support the Director of Community Relations in promoting and maintaining the Agency’s mission and brand, developing strategic relationships between the Agency and appropriate target audiences, and maximizing the effectiveness of public relations, charitable contributions, community engagement, and legislative advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in social media marketing, digital content creation, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools; Donor Perfect experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple platforms and projects simultaneously.
  • Creative, adaptive, and enthusiastic about community engagement.
  • High School Diploma and 3 years related experience or an Associates Degree in a field related to public relations or marketing.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for as needed for community events.
