Job description

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, marketing or related field
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Three years of experience in writing and editing
  • Strong familiarity with AP style
  • Strong ability to multitask and reprioritize as needed
  • Available for occasional evenings and weekends to cover campus-related events as required
  • Member in good standing with LCMS-affiliated congregation preferred
  • Experience in a cross-platform environment (Mac/PC) using applications including Microsoft Office
  • Dexterity in using social media websites and management systems, such as Hootsuite
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications, Canva or similar applications

POSITIONS SUPERVISED:
Digital Marketing Specialist
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  • One to three years of professional experience in digital marketing, social media management or content creation.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar applications.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Ads and social media advertising platforms.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with SEO, SEM, social media marketing and email marketing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for Seminary events.
  • Membership in The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) preferred.
