Job Description / QualificationsJapanese regional bank seeks a Front Office Assistant.
Position Title: Front Office Assistant (non-exempt)
Reports to: Assistant General Manager
Work hours: 8:45AM - 5:00PM
Location: Midtown, Manhattan / Office
Benefit: Insurance 100% covered by the company, 12 days of PTO, Sick leaves MAX 12 days/yr
General Position Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Bank's Front Office (Money Market and Loan sections). Duties for this position include creating dealing tickets and preparing various reports, etc.
Money Market
Oversees funds' positions, drafts daily funding plan and communicates with manager before any final actions.
Executes deals with brokers and banks, etc. under the manager's direction; enters information into an excel sheet and maintains in a shared file.
Creates dealing tickets and any other necessary documents.
Assists managers in making funding for the Branch's assets properly and efficiently.
Performs reconciliation between reports from Back Office and excel sheets.
Files and maintains documents and electronic documents.
Performs any other additional duties assigned by manager and assistant general manager.
Provides assistance in absence of manager or assistant general manager.
Loan & Deposit
Assist managers in collecting loan information from counterparties.
Assists managers in preparation of loan agreements and other related documents.
Performs necessary data entries to prepare various loan related reports.
Prepares various loan related reports, such as Loan Exposure for Residence and Non-Residence, various reports for financial statement, self-assessment, loan detailed statements, etc.
Provides assistance to prepare any other required/requested reports.
Performs loan administration works such as covenants checks.
Files and maintains documents and electronic documents.
Performs any other additional duties assigned by manager and assistant general manager.
Provides assistance in absence of manager or assistant general manager.
Other & Miscellaneous
Translates documents for front office and other offices.
Makes Asset and Liability Management reports.
Provides assistance to managers in negotiation with local banking authorities and external auditors, attends meetings, prepares various documents for audits/inspections.
Provides advices to trainee about front office jobs.
Makes manuals about her own daily jobs such as loan and money market transaction.
Attends Managers' meeting as an observer and makes minutes.
Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.

Minimum Qualifications

No prior related experience or training required.
Previous experience in general assistant function is a plus.
