Job description

Role: Sales Account Manager

Company: Established California olive oil producer (note: the company listed on this job post is a third party recruiter contracted to fill the role)

Location: Yolo County, California. Some travel (10-15 days per year) is required.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to lead and grow our commercial relationships.

This role combines relationship management with active business development. The right candidate will maintain and strengthen trusted customer and grower relationships while also driving new opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead development, and market expansion efforts.

As the primary commercial point of contact, this person will work closely with orchard, milling, logistics, and finance partners to ensure a high-quality customer experience from first conversation through final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Manage and grow existing buyer accounts
  • Develop new business through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and inbound opportunities
  • Identify new market opportunities aligned with company capabilities
  • Support pricing, volume planning, and seasonal sales strategy

Relationship & Account Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with growers, buyers, and partners
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the harvest, production, and delivery process
  • Ensure clear communication and dependable follow-through across all accounts

Transaction & Operational Coordination

  • Manage contracts, pricing, and sales agreements from negotiation through fulfillment
  • Coordinate with milling, logistics, bottling, and finance teams to execute transactions
  • Contribute to operational and administrative needs typical of a lean business
  • Partner with current sales leadership to document processes

  • Existing customers and growers experience a seamless transition and continued trust
