Overview

The Accounting Analyst is responsible to evaluate corporate financial statements, as required by the Security Exchange Commission (SEC). Study corporate financials and analyze information in order to determine what is profitable as it relates to the company s financial interest. Make future predictions on trends that involve money.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Reconcile gross profits in order to monitor any gross margin changes from period to period
  • Monitor cost analysis of expenses with recap in order to determine the impact of those costs
  • Reconcile General Ledger in order to verify the integrity of account balances on the company s General Ledger accounts
  • Tax preparations and filings on behalf of the company, and adhere to deadlines
  • Prepare journal entries in order to log transactions into accounting journal items
  • Submit and adhere to year-end audit schedules
  • Participate in the annual assessment of the Company's financial controls as required by Sarbanes Oxley, as well as in controls and process improvement projects throughout the Company
  • Coordinate the maintenance of the Company's detailed financial controls and process documentation
  • Provide support in the assessment of the design effectiveness of Company's process control framework
  • Keep up to date in Security Exchange Commissions (SEC) updates and rules/regulations
  • Maintain knowledge in effective business process internal controls
  • Perform other duties as assigned and contribute to the success of the department and function at SGWS

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills
