Job description

Johnson Service Group is looking for a Recruiter (Engineering, Direct Hire) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to turn great talent into great hires.

In this role, you’ll act as a strategic partner to clients while owning the full recruiting lifecycle; from sourcing and screening to placement and beyond. If you enjoy influencing hiring decisions, building relationships, and navigating complex talent markets, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.

JSG’s recruiters are compensated with base, plus uncapped commission!

Recruiter Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to clients by providing market insights, talent trends, and consultative guidance on hiring strategies
  • Assess and challenge client requirements when necessary, offering alternative solutions to better align with market realities and talent availability
  • Influence hiring decisions through data-driven recommendations and deep understanding of technical skill sets and market conditions
  • Independently prioritize and manage recruiting workflows, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with business objectives
  • Exercise a high level of discretion and judgment in identifying, evaluating, and presenting qualified candidates aligned to client needs and organizational fit
  • Recruit candidates using a wealth of resources (LinkedIn, Zip Recruiter, Indeed, Bullhorn, etc.)
  • Clearly communicate job responsibilities, company culture and operations, and community to candidates
  • Manage end-to-end interview logistics, including scheduling, confirmations, and communication between candidates and hiring teams
  • Manage contractor/consultant relationships throughout the assignment lifecycle, including performance monitoring, coaching, disciplinary action, and ongoing feedback
  • Consistently update the Applicant Tracking System (Bullhorn) to reflect current candidate information, activity records, and interview summaries

Recruiter Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 2+ years' recruiting experience, in direct hire/permanent placements
  • 2+ years' recruiting experience, in non-IT Engineering skill sets
  • Must have an assertive "hunter" mindset
  • Proven client facing experience, demonstrating sociability
  • Proven experience with sourcing, qualifying, vetting, and submitting candidates
  • Ambition to build strong relationships and work with a team toward successfully filling roles
  • Adhere to designated hybrid work model
