Job description

Field Sales Representative, Early Learning

Learning Genie Inc. | Remote (Central Valley, Bay Area, or Northern California only) | Full-Time

Are You Ready to Transform Early Childhood Education Across California? 🚀

Learning Genie Inc. is a trailblazing EdTech/Curriculum company, headquartered in Carlsbad, California — recognized by ABC 10 News and the San Diego Business Journal for innovation in education technology, and proud winners of the Tech & Learning Best of Show Award! 🎉

We're on a mission to put the power of high-quality instructional material powered by agentic AI into the hands of every early childhood educator in California — and we need a passionate, driven sales superstar to make it happen.

The Opportunity

As our Field Sales Representative for Early Learning in California, you won't just be selling a product — you'll be changing the trajectory of how California's youngest learners experience education. You'll bring Learning Genie's AI-powered early childhood curriculum platform to PreK and TK programs, school districts, and early learning centers across the state, connecting with the administrators and instructional leaders who are hungry for something better.

California is one of the most exciting and complex early learning markets in the country — and you'll own it.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own your territory — build and grow a dynamic pipeline of California school districts, charter networks, county offices of education, and early childhood programs from the ground up
  • Get in the room — conduct compelling, in-person and virtual demos for early learning directors, curriculum coordinators, site principals, and district leadership
  • Be a curriculum expert — analyze district-level instructional gaps and position Learning Genie's AI-powered solutions as the answer, not just another tech tool
  • Win the long game — expertly navigate California's complex procurement cycles, LCAP timelines, Title I and UPK requirements, RFPs, and multi-stakeholder approvals
  • Crush the competition — know the landscape, know your competitors, and confidently articulate why Learning Genie wins every time
  • Build relationships that last — become the trusted advisor that early childhood leaders in California call first when they need to level up their curriculum
  • Show up and stand out — represent Learning Genie at California early childhood conferences, district events, and regional summits
  • Stay ahead of the curve — keep a pulse on California education policy, funding cycles, and the evolving EdTech landscape
  • Keep it clean — maintain sharp, accurate pipeline records and activity tracking in CRM systems

What Makes You the One

  • Proven sales or business development experience — EdTech/SaaS background is ideal, but we're open to other industries for sellers with a strong, verifiable track record and sharp intelligence
  • A sharp, natural learner — someone who's intelligent, coachable, and can pick up a new product and market fast
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas in B2B sales
  • The confidence to walk into a room full of skeptical educators and make the case for AI-powered curriculum with authority and enthusiasm
  • Comfortable demoing and championing AI tools to buyers at every level of tech comfort
  • Self-starter energy — you thrive working independently and remotely across a large territory
  • Based in Central Valley, the Bay Area, or Northern California — this role requires field travel across the region
  • A background in K-12 or EdTech sales, or knowledge of the California PK/TK and early learning ecosystem (how districts/CBOs actually make purchasing decisions, LCAP, TK/UPK, Title I) is a strong plus — not a requirement
  • A background as a teacher, instructional coach, or early childhood educator is also a plus — we love people who've lived the classroom

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Remote — work from Central Valley, the Bay Area, or Northern California
  • 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday (Pacific Time)
  • Compensation: Base salary of $72,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus commission
  • Real career growth at a fast-moving, award-winning EdTech startup
  • Work that creates genuine social impact for California's youngest learners

This Probably Isn't for You If…

  • You prefer routine over the thrill of a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
  • You get discouraged when deals take time or hit unexpected bumps
  • You're not genuinely excited about AI's role in education
  • You're looking for a job — not a mission

If you're ready to own California, champion early childhood education, and help build something that matters — we want to hear from you. Let's go!
