Your primary responsibility is simple and powerful:
Build relationships that consistently generate qualified commercial RFPs
This is a high-visibility role with clear performance expectations, meaningful financial upside, and a defined growth path as our commercial division scales.
What Success Looks Like• Consistently generate 8-12 qualified commercial RFPs per month
• Help bring on 10-15 new commercial accounts annually
• Support accounts capable of $100K-$150K+ in annual revenue
• Fully remove the Owner from commercial prospecting activities
• Serve as the primary growth engine feeding the Commercial Sales Associate
Key Responsibilities:Proactively identify, prospect, and build relationships with commercial property decision-makers
• Convert new and existing relationships into qualified requests for proposal (RFPs)
• Conduct consistent in-person outreach including client visits, coffee meetings, lunches, and networking events
• Maintain accurate CRM records and prospect pipelines
• Attend and actively participate in Chambers of Commerce, CAI, BOMA, IREM, trade shows, and industry conferences
• Coordinate and host Lunch & Learn presentations and client networking events
• Collaborate closely with the Commercial Sales Associate to ensure smooth RFP handoffs
• Create light commercial content (case studies, social posts, newsletters) to support relationship development
What This Role Is Not (Initially):
• No pricing or estimating responsibility
• No proposal writing
• No closing responsibility
Compensation Structure:
• Base salary
• Commission paid for each qualified RFP delivered to the Commercial Sales Associate
• 1% revenue commission paid in perpetuity on all new commercial accounts generated by this role
• Long-term upside for professionals who build durable client relationships
