Position Summary:
Leads the recruiting team for the Core-Mark Segment. Develops and implements strategies related to the recruiting and onboarding process. Performs recruitment activities in compliance with human resources policies and procedures and in accordance with federal and state laws regarding employment practices. Serves as a consultant to hiring managers and leadership in all areas of recruiting. Manages the recruiting budget to effectively recruit and staff Core-Mark OpCo's and Corporate positions. Interacts with all associates, leadership, and governmental and private agencies. Provides guidance to the field operations and hiring managers on the process.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops sourcing strategies to attract and recruit candidates at all levels of the business. Serves as in-house consultant on recruiting and retention practices and strategies. Develops, streamlines, and enhances staffing systems, tracking, and reporting. Conducts analysis on staffing-related activities.
  • Recruits and sources qualified candidates for open positions through a variety of means including postings, job boards, social media, networking, etc. Reviews and screens applications and resumes to determine suitability for open positions. Evaluates and recommends to hiring manager screened candidates for specific openings in accordance with job requirements and specifications. Consults with appropriate HR staff and provides guidance to hiring manager regarding employment decisions. Ensures an overall positive candidate experience. Manages applicant tracking data in compliance with OFCCP and EEOC guidance.
  • Supports the company's community recruiting efforts by developing relationships with various schools, civic and religious organizations, and employment and job services to attract candidates and establish positive community relations as an employer of choice. Leads the college recruiting efforts by developing relationships with partner universities and participating in recruiting activities to attract students to both intern and regular job openings.
  • Cultivates and maintains ongoing working relationships with business leaders and with field leadership and HR staff to proactively understand business needs and create partnerships that ensure an effective recruiting and hiring experience.
  • Establishes and tracks metrics in support of hiring activity.
  • Participates in project related activities in support of staffing, development, or other HR activities
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the company to include senior leadership.
• Strong business acumen.
• Experience in foodservice or distribution is preferred.
