This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Digital Collaboration & AI Lead to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, or Washington D.C. offices.
This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from any of our offices.
The Digital Collaboration & AI Lead is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, adoption, and continuous improvement of the firm's digital collaboration, productivity, automation, and Microsoft 365/Azure artificial intelligence platforms. This role serves as a key bridge between business stakeholders, legal practice groups, operational departments, technology teams, security teams, and external partners to ensure collaboration and AI initiatives align with firm objectives and deliver measurable business value.
This position provides strategic oversight for a portfolio of capabilities spanning Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, AI agents, automation services, and emerging collaboration technologies. Responsibilities include roadmap development, platform governance, initiative delivery, adoption strategy, vendor engagement, operational reporting, and executive communications while ensuring solutions comply with the firm's security, compliance, and risk-management requirements.

On a typical day you will:
  • Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for the firm's digital collaboration, productivity, automation, and AI platforms.
  • Partner with business leaders, legal practice groups, and IT leadership to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to support innovation across the firm and align technology investments with business objectives.
  • Lead enterprise-wide programs and initiatives related to Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, AI agents, and emerging workplace technologies.
  • Manage multiple strategic projects and portfolios simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within established timelines and priorities.
  • Establish governance frameworks, project methodologies, success metrics, reporting standards, and executive communications.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including platform standards, configuration records, governance materials, operational procedures, support resources, and knowledge articles to promote consistency, transparency, and long-term maintainability.
  • Lead the firm's adoption and expansion of Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, automation solutions, and related technologies.
  • Provide strategic oversight for Microsoft 365 collaboration services and partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, governance, and service excellence.
  • Lead organizational change management, communications, training, and adoption programs supporting digital workplace and AI initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, attorneys, administrative departments, and technology teams regarding collaboration and AI initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with Microsoft, consulting partners, software vendors, and service providers.
  • Partner with Information Security, Risk, Compliance, Information Governance, and Records teams to ensure secure and compliant solutions.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, licensing strategy, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Join us if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience leading enterprise technology programs, digital workplace initiatives, or collaboration platforms.
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, Copilot, or AI-related initiatives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technology and business transformation projects.
  • Experience managing vendors, consulting partners, and strategic technology relationships.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, governance, compliance, and AI-enabled business processes.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
  • Professional services or law firm experience preferred.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, Scrum, Prosci, Microsoft 365, Copilot, or Power Platform certifications required.

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $151,000 to $168,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
California
The annualized salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $141,000 to $165,000; and in San Francisco is $163,000 to $180,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. New York
The annualized salary range for this position in New York City is $153,000 to $178,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
