Overview
This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): Arizona, North Carolina and Texas.
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer III to join our team with a primary focus on the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered capabilities within Microsoft 365. The Systems Engineer III is a member of the Digital Workplace Technology Collaboration Engineering team and is responsible for delivering high quality and innovative technology solutions to the end user community.
This role will lead the adoption, governance, and operationalization of Copilot across the enterprise, ensuring secure, compliant, and high-value use of AI technologies. The Systems Engineer III will evaluate, deploy, and manage Copilot features across Microsoft 365 workloads, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive end-user value realization. The role requires balancing strong technical expertise with business acumen to maximize productivity gains and align with organizational goals

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of Microsoft Copilot across M365 workloads including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams to define and enforce governance, compliance, and security frameworks for Copilot and AI-enabled services in alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize Copilot use cases and design the technical solutions and controls to drive adoption and measurable business outcomes.
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams to support Copilot readiness and sustain usage.
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams to ensure data protection, information lifecycle management, and compliance controls are in place for AI-generated content.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy automation and scripting solutions to support Copilot deployment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Monitor service health, usage analytics, and adoption metrics to continuously improve Copilot experience and ROI.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during IT audits and assessments, identifying risks and mitigation strategies related to AI and M365 services.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by gathering user feedback and reviewing Microsoft's product releases including the Microsoft product roadmap to create a pipeline of enhancements focused on productivity, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to system administrators and engineers, fostering growth and accountability

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer
Preferred Area of Experience: Microsoft 365 Including Copilot, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint Online, Purview, Windows Server.
Skills/Experience
  • Experience in design and architecture of Microsoft 365 and Copilot solutions, including governance, policy definition, and licensing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and information management in AI-enabled environments.
  • Experience implementing Copilot readiness strategies (data access controls, labeling, permissions, and content lifecycle).
  • Ability to analyze usage metrics and translate insights into actionable improvements and adoption strategies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, automation, and scripting skills (PowerShell, Graph API, or similar).
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and communicating complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery environment using Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps
  • Experience working in a Financial Services organization including familiarity with the FFIEC Architecture, Infrastructure, and Operations Book and applying regulatory requirements to technology operations
