Job description

McMaster-Carr has helped keep industry moving for 125 years. Customers rely on us to deliver the right parts quickly and accurately so they can reduce downtime, solve urgent problems, and keep critical operations running. That level of service depends on strong systems, disciplined processes, and people who care about getting the details right.
We build our business the same way we support our customers: by solving real operational problems, improving continuously, and holding a high standard for execution. Our teams work closely across functions, learn quickly, and take pride in making a meaningful impact.
We're looking for someone to help build and scale the way we use our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to keep automation and critical building systems up and running. This role will help create clear, consistent standards for how equipment, work orders, preventive maintenance, labor tracking, spare parts, and audits are managed across sites. It's an operational systems role for someone who understands maintenance environments, is comfortable working in CMMS / EAM, and can help local teams adopt strong, practical standards.
What You'll Do
This role offers the chance to help define how maintenance systems are used across a growing network with a strategic plan for automating distribution operations. You will have visible impact on site operations, maintenance planning and our ability to make data-driven decisions. It is a good fit for someone who likes practical process improvement, cross-site influence, and building standards that make operations better.
  • Build and improve CMMS standards, using EAM, across multiple facilities.
  • Define consistent approaches to equipment naming, preventive maintenance plans, work order workflows, labor tracking, spare parts, and audit routines
  • Partner with site teams to shape a scalable operating model that can be used across the network as we grow
  • Partner with Engineering, Facilities, and Operations teams on maintenance optimization, spares strategy, and broader company initiatives
  • Train supervisors, managers, and technicians on how to use CMMS effectively and consistently
  • Review equipment data, work order history, and maintenance trends to identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce disruption
  • Support proactive maintenance planning by improving PM quality, scheduling, and execution discipline
  • Monitor adoption of standards and follow up on gaps through audits and process reviews

Benefits
Cash Compensation
Total cash compensation generally ranges from $142,500-183,400 and includes profit sharing based on company performance.
Growth & Learning
  • 100% tuition reimbursement
  • Informal and formal mentorship
  • Employee resource groups

Health & Wellbeing
  • Medical, dental, pharmacy, and vision plans with no monthly premiums
  • Inclusive, all-gender benefits

Family & Future
  • Paid parental leave for all new parents
  • Adoption and surrogacy assistance
  • First-time home buyer assistance
  • Industry-leading company-funded retirement accounts

Time Off
  • Paid vacation and personal time

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years relevant experience including:
  • Project/program management, data-driven process improvement and reporting results to senior leadership
  • Expertise with CMMS (EAM preferred) in manufacturing, distribution, or other fast-paced, asset-heavy environments.
  • Creating and improving processes such as preventive maintenance, scheduling, work orders, audits, spare parts, equipment records, or system standards
  • Strong communication and coaching skills; able to teach people and drive adoption among supervisors, managers, technicians, and cross-functional partners
  • Strong Excel and data-analysis skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Willingness to travel to support multiple facilities
