Job description

Position Summary
Mount Mary University invites applications for Adjunct Clinical Instructors to support the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. Clinical faculty play a crucial role in guiding students in real-world practice settings, fostering professional growth, clinical reasoning, and compassionate patient-centered care. This role focuses exclusively on clinical teaching and supervision, with no didactic responsibilities required.
Primary Responsibilities
• Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings such as Long-Term Care, Medical-Surgical, or other assigned practice areas.
• Provide on-site coaching, clinical demonstrations, and real-time competency assessment.
• Ensure safe, ethical, evidence-based practice aligned with course and program outcomes.
• Conduct pre- and post-clinical conferences to enhance clinical reflection and judgment.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and complete required student evaluations.
• Communicate effectively with clinical partners and uphold institutional and regulatory expectations.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners.
• Participate in required faculty onboarding and orientation
Qualifications
• BSN required; MSN preferred for clinical instruction.
• Unencumbered RN license in Wisconsin (or eligibility for WI licensure).
• Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience in the assigned specialty area.
• Prior experience precepting or teaching students is desirable.
• Strong communication, professionalism, and commitment to student success.
