Job description

East Tulsa Distribution company seeking an experienced and qualified 3PL Operations manager to take the helm and move the efficiency and accuracy of the distribution center to the next level.


3PL Operations Manager 

The 3PL Operations Manager oversees daily warehouse, logistics, and distribution activities. This role focuses on maximizing throughput, maintaining high inventory accuracy, and meeting strict customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will manage floor supervisors, optimize labor costs, and drive continuous improvement across multi-client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Workflow: Direct inbound receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and outbound shipping operations.
  • SLA Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with client-specific key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Labor Management: Schedule, train, and manage full-time and temporary warehouse staff.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee cycle counts, wall-to-wall audits, and root-cause analysis for variances.
  • Client Relations: Act as the operational point of contact for key client accounts and issues.
  • WMS Optimization: Leverage RAMP WMS to track productivity, create client custom reports, and maximize slotting efficiency.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA regulations, facility security protocols, and safe equipment operation.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in warehouse operations, with 2+ years specifically in a 3PL environment.
  • Tech Skills: Advanced proficiency in Tier 1 WMS (e.g., SAP) and Excel.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing teams of 20+ headcount in a fast-paced setting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent field experience.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or APICS (CPIM/CSCP) preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Cost per Order: Total operational cost divided by shipping orders.
  • Order Accuracy: Percentage of perfect orders shipped without errors.
  • On-Time Shipping: Percentage of shipments departing within the SLA window.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Total physical inventory match against WMS records.
