Pending retirement opens a great opportunity as a manager in a very busy, high-volume commercial tire center with Take Ten Tire and Service in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 


The demands are high, but the rewards are matching. Leadership, communication, and attention to detail are all requirements.  Looking for someone who knows the small things add up and everything needs attention.  Understands the importance of processes and accountability. 


The Location Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards, and managing profitability. They act as the connection between management, staff, and customers. A key part of this role involves fostering an efficient and positive work environment, encouraging clear communication, and supporting sound business practices. 


This role will be hands-on and involve working directly at the West Tulsa location. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to noon. This management position offers high earnings in both salary and profit sharing. 


Potential relocation allowance for the ideal candidate. 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the store's operational profitability.
  • Developing advertising and promotional strategies for the store.
  • Hiring, training, supervising, evaluating, and disciplining all personnel at the location.
  • Communicating effectively and providing leadership to all staff members.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to increase sales and regularly contacting key accounts to maintain relationships.
  • Ensuring that facilities and equipment are kept clean, in proper working order, and free of hazards.
  • Maintaining the property and inventory efficiently.
  • Monitoring and coordinating inside sales activities for all products and services offered at the location.
  • Following vendor buying policies and analyzing stocking levels and turnover rates.
  • Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, including accurate billing, compliant collections, and communication.
  • Verifying the accuracy of credits issued and adjustments or concessions made.
  • Analyzing daily and monthly documents and reports for accuracy and making necessary corrections.
  • Staying informed and advising management of issues and challenges, offering suggestions for improvement.
  • Preparing regular reports to inform management of sales trends, product performance, and key metrics.
  • Providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Participating in and completing all required and additional training offered by the company.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
  • Strictly adhering to company policies and legal regulations while conducting business.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should have a broad knowledge of business and be current with the products and services we sell. Requires strong communication skills, reporting abilities, and the capacity to work independently. Must have a strong aptitude for Microsoft Office programs and computer applications in general. 


Education and Work Experience

Must have at least 3 years of management experience, including responsibility for a P&L. Experience and proven knowledge of all types of tires, general automotive repair, and service are highly valued. Prior sales experience and strong connections in the tire industry in the Tulsa market are a plus.


Work Environment

This position is mobile, involving frequent time in the shop, at the sales counter, and face-to-face with customers both in-store and at their businesses. It occasionally requires lifting over 70 pounds, walking, stooping, bending, and spending significant time in front of a computer and on the phone.
