Job description

Internal Audit provides independent assurance and insight, globally and locally, on Governance, Risk Management, and Internal Control, to support the Board and senior management in achieving their objectives. We add value to the Company by promoting a strong control culture and by initiating and agreeing improvements and action plans. We report to senior management, the Management Committee, and the Audit Committee. We are a team of about 60 professionals based in Poland, Brussels, London, Amsterdam, and Paris, and our activities cover the entire Euroclear group.

This opportunity will particularly appeal to internal candidates who want to combine strong technical expertise with broader business acumen and grow their career in Internal Audit by applying data analytics, automation, citizen development, and practical AI use cases in a high-value control environment.

Role

As a Data Analyst in Internal Audit, you will apply data analytics, automation, innovation, and practical artificial intelligence techniques to generate insights and value for audits. You will be part of the Internal Audit data team and will work closely with auditors across business domains and locations throughout the group.

Beyond audit analytics, you will help identify and implement practical opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the division by exploring new technologies, supporting automation initiatives, and contributing as a citizen developer and citizen AI developer within the Internal Audit context.

Your objective

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or contribute to the preparation and execution of data-driven testing strategies for assigned audits, including analysing and understanding audited business processes and their supporting data.
  • Lead or contribute to identifying and delivering opportunities in automation, innovation, and artificial intelligence that enhance audit insight, efficiency, and quality, in a way that is compatible with the Internal Audit function.
  • Build effective relationships and establish proactive interactions with auditors, business managers, data suppliers, IT specialists, and other data analysts across the company.
  • Propose ideas and contribute to initiatives that improve the functioning and productivity of the division by leveraging data, automation, citizen development, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Continuously learn, assess, and apply new technologies pragmatically for the benefit of the division.
We offer

The opportunity to grow your career in a top-class audit department with a strong reputation for excellence and quality, within a highly diverse team of motivated professionals representing more than 20 nationalities.

A role at the intersection of Internal Audit, data, automation, innovation, and artificial intelligence, with the chance to help shape practical citizen development and citizen AI use cases for the division.

Exposure to a wide range of data and digital technologies, as well as some of the most strategic and sensitive data in the company.

The possibility to deepen your knowledge of international auditing practices and standards while further developing your data and technology expertise.

Continuous professional development, with up to 10 days of training per year.

A comprehensive and transversal view of Euroclear and its businesses.

Support to acquire external qualifications and professional certifications.

A flexible work environment combining office presence and telework, with trust, accountability, and flexibility.

Technical skills

You have a master's degree in a field where data is relevant, such as science, mathematics, finance, engineering, economics, or a related discipline.

You have at least five years of experience as a data analyst.

You can analyse business flows and translate data into insight and value.

You are interested in learning new technologies and applying them in practical ways to improve efficiency and impact within the division.

Experience as a citizen developer and/or citizen AI developer at Euroclear, combined with the ambition to grow your career by working on real business scenarios, audit analytics, and data-driven challenges, is a plus.

Experience with the following technologies is a plus: Office 365, Power BI, relational databases and SQL, Hadoop ecosystem, Python, Power Apps, Copilot, and Copilot Studio.

Belonging to, and being active in, communities such as WeConnect, Power Platform, Power BI, or Data Scientist communities is a plus.

You are self-confident, autonomous, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

You are analytical and have strong problem-solving capabilities.

You can collect, manage, evaluate, and use data with sound critical thinking and strong data literacy.

You have strong presentation and communication skills and can promote the adoption of the data products and solutions you build.

You are willing to continuously learn and stay abreast of new tools, techniques, and technologies.

You build relationships in a consultative style and care as much about how work is delivered as about what is delivered.

You take ownership of your assignments, handle them with empowerment, and seek consultation when necessary.

You can influence, constructively challenge, and negotiate at all levels.

You are organised and able to manage priorities autonomously.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
