Why join Quantum Precision?

Quantum Precision is a family-owned precision manufacturer that has operated in West Chicago since 1995. The company specializes in medium- to high-volume CNC production machining and has recently secured substantial new work, creating immediate openings within its growing Swiss department.

This is not an operator-only position. Your decisions involving tooling, speeds and feeds, cycle time, and process stability will directly affect the department’s success.

The opportunity is well suited to an experienced Swiss machinist who wants challenging work, room to contribute, and the ability to help shape reliable processes as the department expands. A strong backlog provides steady production demand, while substantial overtime is available for machinists who want additional hours.

  • Program and fully set up Citizen or Tsugami CNC Swiss machines

  • Select tooling, collets, guide bushings, and other setup components
  • Establish and refine speeds, feeds, offsets, and cutting conditions
  • Troubleshoot programs, tooling, dimensions, surface finishes, and process variation independently
  • Optimize cycle times, tool life, part quality, and production reliability
  • Complete first-article inspections and make necessary program or offset changes
  • Create and maintain clear programs, setup information, and tooling documentation
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, and Production while launching new work

Machines: Citizen and Tsugami CNC Swiss machines
Machining: Multi-axis CNC Swiss turning and production machining

Experience with either Citizen or Tsugami Swiss machines is required. Experience with both platforms is a plus.
