Job description

Note: This position will be headquartered in Wabash, Indiana with the ability to telecommute occasionally (a few times each month) per company policy.
Role
To conceptualize and formulate strategic initiatives that further the credit union's mission and ensure that the day-to-day activities of the credit union support those initiatives through strategy development, resource allocation, and execution. To monitor and evaluate results of existing plans to ensure growth and profitability and make adjustments as necessary. To perform primary market research, market intelligence gathering, and market forecasting to ensure that the Board and Senior Leadership Team are able to understand implications of various choices in order to make informed strategic decisions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops, executes and supports the credit union's strategic plan, processes, and capabilities at the business and enterprise level, solidifying business cases for strategic initiatives and influencing others to embrace a broader vision of the organization's future with the goal of differentiating Beacon Credit Union as a premier leader in the marketplace.
  • Leads activities related to new product development with respect to credit union programs and develops new business opportunities by leveraging contacts, such as finding important projects, ventures, potential targets and other partnership opportunities. Leads a team through the vetting process of merger and acquisition opportunities for the credit union.
  • Oversees the data mining of information relevant to the initiatives of the organization, including assurance that applicable performance metrics are in place and data is appropriately gathered, stored and analyzed using relevant business intelligence tools.
  • Gives presentations at board and senior leadership meetings to suggest new business strategies and review the progress of ongoing initiatives.
  • As part of resource allocation, mobilizes and leads teams responsible for executing strategic initiatives, with a specific commitment to developing and strengthening the next level of leadership talent within the organization.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications
A minimum fifteen years of similar or related experience required.
Equivalent to a four-year degree or proven ability through prior experience
In-depth understanding of regulations affecting business intelligence programs
Extensive knowledge of business intelligence practices and procedures
Exceptional creativity, decision making, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated proficiency in analytical research, leadership, and strategic planning
Excellent communication skills (with both internal and external personnel)
Ability to foster sound relationships with inside and outside entities
Ability to motivate or influence others is essential, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust
Obtaining cooperation (internally and externally) is an important part of the job
Standard position hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
