UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago is seeking a compassionate and skilled CFC Behavior Specialist to support children with behavioral and emotional needs in foster homes and communityโ€‘based settings. This position focuses on implementing effective behavior interventions that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes while ensuring compliance with DCFS standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess behavioral needs and develop individualized behavior plans
  • Implement and monitor behavior interventions and crisis response
  • Coach and support foster families and staff in behavior strategies
  • Participate in psychiatric medication reviews and monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation, data collection, and reports
  • Provide onโ€‘call crisis support as needed
Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related human services field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in behavior analysis
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License with proof of insurance
  • Ability to obtain DCFS CERAP and 402 Licensure within 6 months
  • Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR, and CPI certification within 30 days
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to safely perform physical interventions during behavioral crises
Schedule & Environment
  • Fullโ€‘time, primarily Monday-Friday with flexibility
  • Onโ€‘call availability required
  • Office, home, and community settings
