Job description

This is a significant leadership role supporting the CFC USA Leadership team. The purpose of the role is to combine portfolio strategy and performance oversight with day-to-day operational excellence across CFC USA underwriting operations. You will analyse underwriting performance, loss ratios, profitability and operational KPIs to identify opportunities to optimise pricing, business mix, coverage and process effectiveness.
Working closely with colleagues in the US and UK business units, you will help embed efficient, compliant and well-governed operational practices that enable high-quality underwriting outcomes. You will act as a custodian for strategic initiatives (including digital trading, data analytics, AI and automation), ensuring that change is delivered in a controlled way, processes are clearly documented, and governance and audit readiness are maintained as CFC USA continues to scale.
You have strong experience in underwriting operations within the US insurance market, with a clear understanding of endtoend commercial underwriting processes. You're comfortable managing portfolio performance, interpreting complex data, and turning insight into recommendations that improve profitability and underwriting outcomes.
