Job description


The Team
The Manager, Tax Reporting will be responsible for preparation and/or review of the company's global income tax reporting and compliance processes, including the preparation of ASC 740 tax provisions. These responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of the U.S. international income tax compliance process (e.g., forms 5471, 8865, and 8858). Additional responsibilities include ownership of various technology platforms including OneSource (tax provision and income tax), DMI, and Microsoft Excel calculations.
This role partners closely with global tax team members, finance, and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely reporting

  • Perform quarterly and annual consolidated ASC 740 tax provision and related analyses
  • Conduct periodic reviews of foreign tax accounting positions and balances to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Perform calculation of Uncertain Tax Positions and inclusion in supporting software (DMI)
  • Ensure timely statutory tax compliance and reporting across jurisdictions
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 internal controls over tax processes
  • Forecast Global Effective Tax Rate for annual budgets and long-range plans
  • Review earnings & profits (E&P), foreign tax credits, and international tax calculations (net CFC tested income, Subpart F)
  • Research tax issues using BNA Tax Management Portfolios
  • Support tax technology initiatives and drive process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain OneSource technology platform (OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax)
  • Manage and execute non-recurring tax compliance and planning projects as they arise
  • Liaise with external advisors and auditors as applicable

Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelors degree in accounting required.
  • Master of Science in Taxation preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with applying rules of ASC 740 and related guidance on accounting for income taxes required.
  • Between 6-8 years combined tax experience in a large public accounting and/or corporate environment, with an emphasis on federal and foreign income tax, required.
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. international tax laws (e.g. Subpart F, E&P calculations, Net CFC Tested Income).
  • Extensive knowledge of ASC 740 and related guidance.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong management and leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results; ability to influence and inspire action.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze large amounts of data effectively.
  • Experience with online tax research tools such as BNA.
  • Strong proficiency in utilizing technology including Oracle applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (including queries preferred).
  • Working knowledge of OneSource tax provision software preferred.
  • Experience with Alteryx preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively across many internal functional groups to optimize product offerings, create a seamless customer experience, and resolve issues.
  • Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high-quality solutions.
  • Excellent planning skills; ability to effectively manage priorities for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to identify key contacts for follow up; excellent ability to communicate project status updates to team and cross-functionally to ensure understanding.
