Your role as a Case Pick/Forklift Operator
Key responsibilities:
Come be a part of Team NewCold! An automated Cold Storage facility. We are currently looking for Order Pickers. As an order picker, you are ensuring that our customers product orders are picked, stacked, wrapped, tagged and shipped as they have requested, via truck or rail. In this role you will ensure that the NewCold Safety program is followed.
What you will be doing:
  • Operate in a manner where SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT are the highest importance.
  • Organizing and palletizing product to build customer orders
  • Re-casing, order picking, replenishing, wrapping, & labeling orders per customers KPI.
  • Pull, pack, and ship orders consistently and accurately using standup lifts.
  • Lift cases-cases weigh an average of 35 pounds, 50 pounds on the high end.
  • Stacking pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions.
  • Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance
  • Wearing all NewCold and OSHA mandated personal protective equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of company safety programs.
  • Operate Forklift to move customer products
  • Inspect Forklifts/ Equipment daily, prior to operation.
  • Complete all applicable documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required
  • Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to work in the -5 degrees temperatures for hours at a time.
  • Able to repeatedly lift customer products weighing up to 50 lbs. each. Safely manipulating product from overhead and floor level and placing on pallet at floor level and overhead.
  • Able repeatedly to hand wrap pallets using provided tools moving from floor level to overhead.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts from 8-10 hours, sometimes standing for several hours at a time.
  • Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.
