Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Warehouse Lumper / Case Picker for a large cold storage and freezer warehouse in Riverside, CA. This is a long-term placement position with the possibility of permanent hire, paying $20.00/hr on a 1st shift schedule starting at 4am. In this role, you will unload incoming shipments from trucks, pick and palletize cases, and operate a stand-up high reach forklift and electric pallet jack in a freezer environment with temperatures as low as -20°F. Weekly overtime of approximately 8 hours is required.
Pay: $20.00/hr
Schedule: Monday-Sunday, five 8-hour shifts (4am-12:30pm) or four 10-hour shifts (4am-2:30pm)
Location: Riverside, CA
Job Type: Long-term Placement with Possibility of Permanent Hire
Primary workplace language(s): English
Work Environment: Cold Storage / Freezer Facility (temperatures as low as -20°F)
Overtime: Weekly OT required (~8 hrs/wk)
Responsibilities
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks and move product to designated staging areas.
  • Pick cases and build pallets according to order specifications.
  • Operate a stand-up high reach forklift to store and retrieve product in racking.
  • Operate an electric pallet jack (EPJ) to move pallets throughout the facility.
  • Shrink wrap and restack pallets to secure finished loads.
  • Log and verify inventory counts during receiving and picking operations.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months of loading/unloading experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a cold storage, freezer, or refrigerated warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with shrink wrap machines and pallet building/restacking techniques.
  • Experience with case picking, order selection, or pick-and-pack operations.
  • Exposure to basic warehouse inventory logging or RF scanning systems.
  • Experience working early morning shifts (4am or similar start times).
  • Ability to operate a stand-up high reach forklift and electric pallet jack.
