Job description

The Card Services Associate is a vital member of the Card Services Division. This role is key to ensuring our members receive seamless card experiences by performing card related servicing for all card types (ATM, debit, and credit). The Card Services Associate is also responsible for handling card disputes, mitigating fraud risks, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and card operating rules.

Key Responsibilities
Card Servicing and Member Support

  • Assist members with inquiries related to ATM cards, debit cards, and credit cards: Card balances, Transaction history, Card declines.
  • Process card reissues, replacements, and PIN resets promptly.
  • Educate members and staff on card features, benefits, and usage guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address card-related issues efficiently.
  • Perform corrections/ adjustments to member accounts.

Dispute Processing

  • Investigate and resolve cardholder disputes while adhering to Regulation E, Regulation Z, and Visa/Mastercard operation rules.
  • Handle chargebacks, unauthorized transactions, and fraudulent activity.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispute cases and outcomes.

Fraud Mitigation

  • Monitor card transactions for suspicious activity and patterns.
  • Work closely with the Fraud team to identify potential fraud cases.

Compliance and Regulation

  • Adhere to network rules/ regulations (e.g., Mastercard, Visa, Regulation E, Regulation Z).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of two years of experience in card servicing or comparable work experience for a financial institution or customer service environment
  • Understanding banking regulations and retail banking products preferred.
  • Experience with ATM network management and credit card processing workflows preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Sit for prolonged periods at a desk, working on a computer.
  • Reach, bend, twist and turn frequently.
  • Lift, pull, push, and carry up to 30 pounds on occasion.

The expected pay range for Card Services Associate is $21 - $25 per hour.

This pay reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role based on typical qualifications and market data. The pay offered may vary depending on the candidateโ€™s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
