Job description

As the S2P Market Activation Director, you are responsible for driving internal pipeline growth across Accenture's Source-to-Pay (S2P) practice by identifying, qualifying, and advancing opportunities within Accenture's Market Units and Industry groups. You serve as the internal sales engine for the S2P practice - surfacing demand, building awareness, and connecting the right opportunities to Sales Capture Leads for pursuit and close.
You are a trusted advisor to Accenture Market Unit and Industry leadership, acting as the primary point of engagement for S2P-related opportunities. You bring deep expertise in Source-to-Pay processes, procurement transformation, and the leading platforms and solutions that underpin modern S2P programs.
You drive internal conversations focused on S2P opportunity qualification, pipeline development, and practice positioning - ensuring the S2P practice is recognized as the premier capability for procurement and supply chain transformation across Accenture's client portfolio.

Strategic Focus Areas

  • Procurement and supply chain transformation leveraging leading S2P platforms

  • Intelligent procurement using AI, analytics, and automation to drive spend visibility and supplier intelligence.

  • Industry-specific S2P solutions across Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, Consumer Goods, Industrial, and Public Service sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify S2P opportunities within assigned Accenture Market Units and Industries, developing a robust internal pipeline.

  • Build strong working relationships with Accenture Market Unit leads, Industry account teams, and client group leads to surface procurement transformation opportunities.

  • Qualify opportunities against S2P practice fit criteria and pass qualified leads to the appropriate Sales Capture Lead for pursuit and close.

  • Collaborate closely with S2P practice leadership and Sales Capture Leads to ensure smooth opportunity handoffs and alignment on pursuit strategy.

  • Conduct internal activation sessions, lunch-and-learns, and deal qualification workshops to raise S2P awareness across Accenture's go-to-market teams.

  • Develop opportunity briefs and preliminary business cases to support early-stage qualification and internal stakeholder alignment.

  • Serve as the S2P practice ambassador internally, ensuring Market Unit and Industry teams understand the practice's capabilities, differentiators, and recent wins.

  • Maintain a current view of S2P market trends, competitor activity, and Accenture win themes to support effective internal positioning.

  • Track and report on pipeline activity, opportunity status, and activation outcomes to S2P practice leadership on a regular cadence.

Travel is required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 10% to 25% depending on internal meeting requirements and practice events.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, internal sales, pre-sales, or consulting within a professional services or technology environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Source-to-Pay, procurement, or supply chain transformation.
  • Experience working within or alongside large, matrixed organizations to identify and qualify opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of S2P processes, platforms, and transformation levers across direct and indirect spend.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and translate business conversations into qualified pipeline of $15M+
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with leading S2P platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Zip, Basware, Medius or similar.
  • Experience supporting or participating in complex, multi-stakeholder pursuit processes within a professional services firm.
  • Experience working in or with Accenture Market Units, Industry groups, or account teams.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and internal influencing skills.
  • Ability to navigate Accenture's internal go-to-market structure and engage Market Unit Leads, Industry Leads, CALs in qualifying conversations.
