Status: Full Time 80 Hours biweekly (40 hours per week)

SALARY RANGE: 32.81 - 50.85 HOURLY
General Summary:
Provides professional nursing care to patients within a Physician's Practice. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge, critical thinking, judgment, and skill are performed in accordance with practice policy, procedure, and philosophy.
Note: This is a Phone Triage RN position, located onsite at our Call Center at BlueHen. The RN in this role will support our Bayhealth Primary Care offices and will typically Not engage in direct patient care, they will instead be responsible for triaging phone calls, addressing patient inquiries & concerns via phone and the online patient portal.
Responsibilities:
1. Restores and promotes patient's health by completing nursing process.
2. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
3. Accurately and completely records all required data in the medical record and departmental database.
4. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
5. Use advanced communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers.
6. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and profession standards.
7. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
8. Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
9. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
  • Education: Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Credential(s): Basic Life Support BLS
    Registered Nurse RN
  • Experience: At least two years clinical nursing experience in a physician practice, hospital, or other medical specialized environment.

Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor Degree Nursing BSN
  • Credential(s): Certification related to the position, if applicable.
  • Experience: Three or more years in a physician practice or hospital setting.
